The Vacancy
The Marketing Cloud Implementation Manager - FTC is the subject matter expert for email delivery within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud project, providing expert insight on email and messenger channel effectiveness and standards throughout the project. The role will work closely with the implementation partner and internal project team to embed best practice on email and messaging testing, personalisation and performance. The role will work alongside the project team to input into defining a new operating model for email/SMS/WhatsApp delivery and to support teams adopting new ways of working.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the CRM lead for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud programme, driving channel best practice and shaping supporter experience and email strategy.
- Work in collaboration with the implementation partner on designing email journeys, campaigns, automations and standards during the project.
- In collaboration with the implementation partner, ensure key collateral, such as email templates, are created.
- Work with the implementation partner and Data Selections Lead to design and implement the email journeys and campaigns in the pilot phase, ensuring Marketing Cloud best practice is adopted
- Monitor the pilot activity, reviewing performance, resolving issues and agreeing readiness for wider rollout.
- Work with the internal project team to devise a plan for migrating all activity out of the legacy platforms (Dotdigital, Social Sync, Mailgun and Outlook) and into Marketing Cloud
- Oversee the safe transition and migration of email activity from legacy platforms into Marketing Cloud, protecting supporter experience, deliverability and compliance throughout the change period.
- Input into the development of a new operating model for the delivery of our supporter experience strategy, covering ways of working, governance, testing processes, approvals flows, reporting, automations etc
- In collaboration with the Digital Analysts, the Business Intelligence team and the Data Selections Lead, develop a supporter journey reporting framework
- Undertake training in Marketing Cloud Next and become the team Marketing Cloud expert
- Support business readiness and change, contributing to training, guidance and engagement for teams using Marketing Cloud and promoting adoption of new ways of working.
- Deliver on training the Email and Messaging Channel team on Marketing Cloud, adopting the new ways of working, and ensuring clarity on transition plan to Marketing Cloud.
- Develop effective working relationships with external consultants, such as the implementation partner, to ensure there is excellent, clear communication throughout the project and any issues or concerns can be identified early and addressed.
- Be a core member of the sprint delivery team, participating in all sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work with key stakeholders across ARUK to ensure requirements are fully understood, clearly documented in the form of User Stories and approval and acceptance criteria is defined.
- Work with the Project Manager to define and refine the internal project plan.
- Work with the Salesforce Technical Product Owner and the Data Selections Lead to manage and prioritise the backlog of requirements deprioritised for go-live and ensure there is a roadmap for their subsequent delivery.
- Undertake any other relevant duties and projects in line with the responsibilities of the post.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Proven experience in email marketing, with a track record of developing and executing successful email campaigns.
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including deliverability, segmentation, and personalisation.
- Experience in implementing, managing and/or optimising email marketing platforms, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Expertise in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to derive actionable insights from campaign data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in A/B testing and campaign optimisation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective email marketing strategies
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proactive and results-oriented
- Passionate about using email marketing to make a positive impact
