Marketing and Campaigns Officer
Joining our central Marketing team, you'll play an important role in helping Cardiff Met achieve its recruitment and income ambitions for both domestic and international undergraduate, and postgraduate students. Working on priority University projects, you'll support student recruitment and campaign objectives for of our Cardiff School of Sport & Health Sciences helping to raise awareness and strengthen our connection with future students. You’ll be involved in a wide range of activity, including:
- Managing and enhancing web pages, with a particular focus on course and subject pages;
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver key print publications such as the undergraduate prospectus, taking ownership on school specific content and copy;
- Leading the development of School specific, story-led content in-line with priorities that can be re-purposed across owned and paid channels e.g. student blogs, videos, photoshoots;
- Working with the Marketing Manager and nominated advertising agency to develop and deliver paid measurable campaigns across digital, affiliate and social media channels to support the delivery of activity plans that raise awareness and drive applications/open day registrations to all courses at key points in the recruitment cycle.
- Working with the CRM team to develop and deliver communication and conversion plans for enquirers and applicants aligned to your academic School, in line with key points in the application cycle to aid conversion.
This is a 12 month, fixed-term period of maternity cover to start from July 1st, 2026.
What you’ll bring
You’ll be an experienced marketing, communications and/or campaigns professional who enjoys turning insight into action. You’ll be confident analysing and interpreting data, taking an evidence‑based approach to shaping activity and understanding what works.
A creative thinker with excellent attention to detail, you’ll be comfortable developing engaging campaigns and content while ensuring accuracy, consistency and quality throughout. You’ll have experience planning, project managing and delivering campaigns and activity plans to agreed deadlines, balancing multiple priorities with a methodical approach.
Central to the role is the ability to build and maintain strong, in‑person relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively to plan and deliver effective campaigns, content and activity, and you’ll bring strong communication skills. You’ll feel equally comfortable working as part of a team or using your own initiative when required, with the confidence to take ownership and see work through.
