The Opportunity
The Maintenance Technician – Electrical, is responsible for delivering high‑quality electrical maintenance, repair, and compliance works across the Emirates Old Trafford site. This includes the cricket stadium, hospitality areas, conference spaces, offices, and the integrated 250‑bed hotel. The role ensures all electrical systems remain safe, compliant, efficient, and operational to support both matchday and non‑matchday activities. Plus carrying out general maintenance tasks as and when required.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the stadium, hotel, and outgrounds, ensuring timely completion and operational continuity
- Carry out statutory inspections, testing, checks, and audits to maintain full compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Support contractor management, ensuring safety compliance, quality of workmanship, and value for money
- Undertake fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of building services and plant equipment, working with both internal teams and external contractors
- Provide electrical and technical support for major events, including setup, delivery, and pre/during/post event checks and monitoring via BMS systems
- Assist with general facilities duties including emergency lighting, PAT testing coordination, utilities/energy monitoring, and maintenance of accurate records and reports
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests, including basic plumbing and building fabric repairs, as well as emergency breakdowns and out-of-hours callouts
What You’ll Bring
- Full electrical qualification to NVQ L3 or above
- 18th Edition Electrical Installations
- Experience with working with CAFM system
- Knowledge of BMS, HVAC controls, and emergency systems.
- A good understanding of Health and safety systems
- Professional presentation of self, records and reports
- Extensive experience and knowledge of stadium and / or hotel maintenance requirements
- A full, clean UK Driving License
