Role Overview:
Lancashire Men’s Cricket are looking for an experienced coach to support the existing coaching team for the duration of the 2026 T20 Blast Competition. The successful candidate should have extensive franchise/tournament experience and skill set to cover across all disciplines. The successful candidate will be required to be available for the full duration of the tournament.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level coaching support to the Lancashire Men’s Cricket coaching staff throughout the 2026 T20 Blast competition.
- Contribute specialist expertise across all disciplines.
- Liaise with the Head Coach, Head of Talent Pathway, medical department, and rest of the coaching team on performance of individual players and their suitability for relevant selections.
- Support match preparation, training delivery, and in-game decision-making during the tournament period
- Ensure all coaching practices adhere to ECB guidelines and safeguarding policies.
- Bring proven franchise and tournament experience to enhance player performance and team outcomes
- Commit to full availability for the entire duration of the 2026 T20 Blast campaign
- Maintain high professional standards on and off the field
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum ECB Level 3 coaching qualification or international equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
- Head Coach experience preferrable
- Coaching ability across all disciplines
- Recent and extensive franchise/tournament experience
- Experience of working with performance analysts and SS&M teams

Role Summary:
The Non-Executive Director (People, Culture, EDI & Safeguarding) will provide expert oversight and strategic guidance on all aspects of the Club’s culture, workforce strategy, leadership development, and equality, diversity & inclusion and Safeguarding.
They will act as an independent, values-driven voice on the Board, ensuring the Club fulfils its commitments to creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. This NED will support and challenge the executive team to cultivate a culture that aligns with organisational purpose, drives engagement, attracts talent, and delivers long-term sustainable performance.
Responsibilities:
Board & Governance
- Provide independent challenge and constructive support to ensure the Club meets its people-related governance and statutory obligations.
- Contribute effectively to Board meetings, particularly in areas of people strategy, culture, workforce, and EDI.
- Uphold and promote high standards of ethical behaviour, transparency, and accountability.
People & Culture Oversight
- Advise on the development and implementation of people strategies that support the Clubs goals.
- Review and challenge workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and succession strategies.
- Oversee leadership development plans, performance frameworks, and organisational capability initiatives.
- Ensure the Club fosters a culture that encourages trust, wellbeing, collaboration, and psychological safety.
EDI Strategy & Impact
- Provide specialist insight into best practice EDI frameworks, metrics, and compliance.
- Support the development of inclusive policies, practices, and behaviours across the workforce.
- Ensure EDI considerations are embedded in key decisions
- Champion the use of data-driven approaches to track progress, identify gaps, and improve outcomes.
- Provide board-level oversight and assurance that robust safeguarding policies, controls, and reporting mechanisms are in place and effectively implemented across the Club.
Executive Support & Challenge
- Serve as a sounding board for the HR Lead and senior executives.
- Bring an external perspective on people-related trends, risks, emerging legislation, and leading practices.
- Provide constructive challenge on the Club culture, leadership behaviours, and employee engagement.
Risk & Performance Oversight
- Ensure effective oversight of workforce-related risks, including succession, retention, capability, engagement, and culture.
- Monitor people metrics and challenge assumptions or areas of underperformance.
- Support the development of safe, compliant, and inclusive working environments.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
- Understanding of safeguarding across a large organisation with appropriate training to support the Club’s strategy.
- Strong track record of shaping and executing people-centric transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in EDI best practice, culture change, and inclusive leadership.
- Experience with organisational governance and an understanding of board-level responsibilities.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret people-related data and culture diagnostics.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Prior Board or Non-Executive Director experience.
- Previous experience of supporting a Nominations Committee and / or Renumeration committees.
- Senior leadership experience in HR, organisational development, EDI and culture.
- Knowledge of ESG frameworks and how people, culture, and EDI contribute to sustainability and social impact.
- Background in employee relations, organisational psychology, or talent strategy.
- A current Member of Lancashire Cricket (if not already a Member, a Membership must be purchased prior to the Annual General Meeting).
- An understanding of Cricket at any level.

Role Summary:
We are seeking a Non-Executive Director to join the Board of Directors, bringing a strong background in Commercial Operations and Development within a business with a £35m+ turnover.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in guiding the Clubs operational and development strategy and ensuring sustainable growth. This individual will bring strong commercial acumen, strategic insight, and independent judgment to support the Board (specifically the Club Treasurer) and Executive team in driving the Club’s commercial and financial performance.
Responsibilities:
Board & Governance
- Provide independent oversight, challenge, and support to the executive leadership.
- Contribute to effective governance, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and fiduciary duties.
- Participate actively in Board meetings, offering impartial, informed, and constructive perspectives.
- Support the Chair in promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and transparency.
Commercial & Strategic Contribution
- Review and challenge site-level and group-wide operational performance metrics
- Ensure appropriate KPIs are in place to monitor productivity, quality, cost and safety
- Support the Board in identifying systemic underperformance or execution risks
- Provide objective input on turnaround and optimisation initiatives
- Ensure operational and development decisions align with the Club’s long-term strategic objectives.
Risk Management
- Oversee operational risk management across all locations
- Ensure appropriate frameworks exist for health & safety, regulatory compliance, and quality control
- Provide challenge on business continuity, crisis management, and resilience planning
- Ensure lessons learned from incidents are acted upon at board and executive level
Executive Support & Challenge
- Act as a sounding board to the CEO and senior leadership on Operational/Development issues.
- Maintain a constructive, independent stance, supportive yet willing to offer robust challenge.
- Mentor and coach key executives where appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
- Proven senior-level commercial experience (e.g., Managing Director, Business Owner, Chief Operating Officer, Strategy or Business Development Lead) within a business with a 35m+ turnover.
- A strong track record of driving profitable growth and commercial performance within a large company.
- Demonstrated ability of site development and Facilities Management experience.
- Ability to manage multiple complex profit centres and or sites as well as new development projects.
- Experience in board-level or advisory roles, with a deep understanding of governance.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to question constructively.
Desirable
- Prior Non-Executive Director experience.
- Sector knowledge in property development.
- Multi-site operations experience.
- Experience in lifestyle, events, leisure, sport or destination specific business relevance.
- Understanding of ESG considerations and their commercial impact.
