Role Overview:
The Thunder Assistant Coach will have a pace bowling specialism and will work across the Women’s Regional structure in the North West, primarily supporting the Head Coach with day-to-day leadership, delivery and planning for the senior Thunder playing squad.
We are seeking an individual with a passion for working with people and talent development who can add value to multiple environments and have a positive impact on those around them. The ability to influence, communicate effectively, and work independently and as part of a team are priorities for the role. Reporting into the Head Coach, the candidate will aid the transition of players from the Academy and influence coaching across the pathways in the region. There will be a need to have a flexible approach to working patterns, including domestic travel during the season with possible overseas training camps in winter.
We are looking for someone who holds a minimum of ECB Level 3 qualification (or international equivalent) or is currently undertaking their Level 3 qualification, with comprehensive coaching experience, and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider coaching team. The successful candidate will be expected to embrace the latest coaching techniques and commit to keeping records of all work on the club’s digital HIVE platform.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Coach with preparing, developing, and supporting the needs of the professional squad, during winter and summer attending every fixture and training session.
- Act as the lead point for pace bowling, including input into the Thunder Way and supporting the Academy and counties in the region.
- Coach and develop players across the Thunder and Academy squads and support EPP and CAG delivery where appropriate.
- Support coaching on Thunder 2nd XI fixtures
- Input into the management of Individual Development Plan submissions and communication
- Close working with the Performance Analyst to help produce data and footage relevant to support high performance and player development.
- Attend meetings where required and represent Thunder.
- Liaise with the Head Coach, Head of Talent Pathway, medical department, and rest of the coaching team on performance of individual players and their suitability for relevant selections.
- Understand, and be able to communicate, the talent identification and recruitment strategy for the Region which aims to ensure programmes are accessible, broadens the player pool and drives diversity and inclusion.
- Keep up to date with best practice and expertise across the fields of talent development and attend ECB CPD events and meetings to support the drive for a world leading player pathway.
- To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities whenever reasonably asked.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified to at least ECB Level 3 (or international equivalent) or currently undertaking the Level 3 qualification.
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and Safeguarding Children certification – a DBS disclosure is an impartial and confidential document that details an individual’s criminal record and where appropriate gives details of those who are barred from working with children.
- Coaching experience within a county pathway or professional team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Experience of developing IDPs
- High levels of energy and enthusiasm
- The ability to use initiative working as part of a team or independently as required.
- Excellent IT skills with competent ability using Microsoft Office programmes.
- Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel independently to various venues across the country.
The post holder will be expected to work evenings and weekends as well as have flexibility to dovetail working arrangements in with fixture and training schedules that will change from year to year and across each season.

Role Overview:
As a Reservations Coordinator at the Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our dynamic hotel within a world-class sports and entertainment venue. You will be responsible for managing room inventory, allocations, and transient bookings, overseeing FIT contracts, and maintaining accurate information across multiple travel agent platforms.
A detail-driven approach to quality control is essential to ensure all reservations and packages are correctly processed. You will act as a professional and welcoming point of contact for guests, confidently handling enquiries both in person and over the phone, while also championing upselling opportunities and Hilton Honors enrolments to enhance the guest experience and maximise revenue.
Responsibilities:
As our Reservations Coordinator your responsibilities will include, but by no means be limited to:
- Inventory Management for all group business, allocations, and transient bookings using OnQ Rate & Inventory.
- Manage FIT contracts and ensure their allocations are managed according to business demands.
- Manage the various travel agent extranets to ensure hotel information is up to date and verify reservation accuracy.
- Quality Control – Ensure reservations are booked correctly and that packages are attached accordingly.
- Confidently deal with general enquiries made by walk-ins and telephone enquiries, ensuring the enquiry is dealt with by the appropriate department/person.
- Answer all direct calls that come through the switchboard politely and in a professional manner.
- Be a Champion for upselling and lead Hilton Honors enrolments
Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role, ideally we would like you to have:
- Reservations experience from either a professional, customer service or hotel background.
- Knowledge of hotel property management systems.
- Good organisation and administration skills with a high level of IT skill.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service with a positive attitude and exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to work outside of office hours as and when required within the Events season.
- Display a commitment to undertake necessary training required for all reception positions across the Hotel.

Sales & Marketing Manager - Manchester Originals

Role Overview:
The role of the Sales and Marketing Manager is to execute the annual sales and marketing plan to drive revenue across ticketing and hospitality for Manchester Originals – whilst supporting the Head of Commercial Growth with the sale of commercial partnerships.
Key Deliverables
- Own and drive the GA ticket sales plan to move from 50k to 65k tickets in 2026 and to 80k tickets in 2027
- Own and drive the hospitality sales plan to drive £300k net revenue in 2026 and £500k net revenue in 2027
The Sales and Marketing Manager will be required to work proactively to build a network of key B2B and B2C contacts, delivering a regular pipeline of new sales across ticketing and hospitality to achieve annual revenue targets. The jobholder will also activate marketing tactics to achieve attendance targets for each home fixture of The Hundred at Emirates Old Trafford – across both men’s and women’s teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Commercial Growth in the development of the annual marketing and sales plan prior to each season of The Hundred.
- Implement marketing campaigns across owned, earned and paid channels to drive match day sales across the full ticketing portfolio (such as general admission and premium hospitality).
- Manage third-party sales and marketing agencies to execute the annual sales and marketing plan.
- Manage the day-to-day implementation of the Manchester Originals database for commercial use, including activating CRM campaigns to general ticket sales (general admission and premium tickets).
- Collaborate with the respective sales and marketing teams across Lancashire Cricket and the RPSG Group
- Support the Head of Commercial Growth in the development of the annual sales plan for each season of The Hundred across ticketing, premium hospitality and acquisition of new commercial partnerships.
- Responsible for a Premium Ticketing sales target - to work with B2B, B2C audiences and Hospitality agents to retain existing business and grow new business. Prepare regular sales and activity reports, share key information with Operations, ensure accurate invoicing through coordination with Finance, and work closely with Coordination and Marketing to provide up-to-date sales figures and breakdowns.
- Proactively drive revenue through outbound sales, cold calling, networking, and identifying new opportunities via research, social media, and data insights.
- Create, maintain and develop strong key client relationships, both new and existing, to optimise retention and use initiative in identifying incremental revenue opportunities that can be secured for wider business, which will include post-event contact, matchday/event day liaison and networking events.
- Deliver and exceed annual Premium Experience sales targets by creating and executing a focused sales plan for new B2C and B2B business across the Northwest, with a strong emphasis on new business generation and regular attendance at networking events in Manchester.
- Maintain accurate ticketing and invoicing records, manage internal requests with proper approval processes, and deliver high-quality customer service by acting as a reliable point of contact for client enquiries.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educated to University degree level or equivalent
- Experience in crafting, executing and managing marketing campaigns
- Experience in managing project expenditure budgets
- A team player who can communicate effectively across departments
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Creative flair with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to commercial sales
- Demonstrate experience of working across multiple platforms, using a variety of tone of voice, and engaging with diverse audiences.
