About this role

Our Lecturers provide academic leadership that ensures high-quality teaching, learning and student success. They lead on curriculum development, assessment, quality assurance and module delivery while supporting staff and students. All Lecturers promote inclusive, innovative teaching, effective administration and continuous improvement.

About you

You’ll engage in training for pedagogy, research, and leadership, seek mentoring and participate in peer observation, build professional networks inside and outside the Institute, and act as an active representative of Metanoia Institute through engagement with professional bodies, external events, conferences, seminars, and sector publications.

Salary: £61,441 (FTE)

Contract type: Permanent/Fixed Term

Hours per week: Full and Part Time options will be considered

Working pattern: Hybrid (blending office and remote) with occasional weekend working

About this role

Working closely with the Associate Director of Education and academic colleagues across the Institute, you will provide leadership for the effective delivery, quality assurance and enhancement of your programme area. You will oversee programme teams, support academic staff development and ensure an excellent student experience through inclusive, innovative and professionally aligned education.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in higher and/or professional education, strong leadership capability and a commitment to inclusive and relational approaches to learning and teaching.

About you

You’ll bring a blend of people leadership, academic experience and knowledge of different psychotherapy modalities. You’ll be comfortable moving between academic rigour, oversight of programme delivery and managing professionals. You'll have previous higher education experience, both in terms of managing a programme of work and delivery against key performance indicators, and demonstrable experience of people management, for some roles you’ll need UKCP registration which you’ll be able to confirm in the application form.
