Lead Pastor
Lead Pastor
Enfield Town Community Church
Enfield Town Community Church (ETCC) are look for a full time Lead Pastor to join the pastoral team by the end of March 2027.
We are looking to recruit a lead pastor with the character and skills to lead Enfield Town Community Church into its next chapter. We are looking for someone who has a heart for urban ministry with the people and theological skills to bring together the diversity of age, stage and ethnicity that Jesus is gathering at ETCC. We are looking for a pastor who loves to work collaboratively with a heart to lead with and through leaders. We are looking for a pastor who will continue our long legacy of being mission-hearted both overseas and into our local community. We are looking for someone who is committed to prayer personally and mobilising the church to pray. This person is required to have the proven ability to set clear vision and strategy in a creative and gospel-ambitious way. At the same time we are looking for someone who can prioritize their time and work well amidst the many demands that are on a pastor's time.
This role will include leading the church through regular preaching, praying and pastoral care, leading and supporting the staff team in their roles, leading the eldership (especially in the areas of setting vision and strategy), and committed engagement with our local network of FIEC churches (www.togetherformission.org). The role will also include playing a part in the church safeguarding team.
Enfield Town Community Church (previously Enfield Evangelical Free Church) is in the centre of Enfield Town just behind the main high street and next to the Town Park. Enfield Town is situated in the London Borough of Enfield, which has 340,000 residents and growing. We are an evangelical church with over 120 years of history in the town. We estimate that in the Town area there are around 50,000 people.
Enfield Town is ethnically diverse, and our congregation is increasingly reflecting this diversity. We are currently made up of 239 members with attendance of about 300 on a Sunday morning and 80 on a Sunday evening. The staff team currently consists of two associate pastors, two part-time women's workers, a part time church co-ordinator, a part time administrator and a part time finance officer. We also regularly have a gap year volunteer working alongside the team.
Our church aim describes us as "making Jesus known in Enfield Town as we grow to know him better." It is into these two areas we seek to put our time and resources as a church: going to make Jesus known, and growing to know him better.
We are also part of a local family of FIEC churches called "Together For Mission". This consists of 6 other congregations planted or revitalised from ETCC over the last 19 years in and around the London Borough of Enfield.
