Kitchen Porter, where you’ll play a vital part in delivering high-quality service to patients, staff, and visitors.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll support our chefs and front-of-house team to ensure everything operates seamlessly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times.
• Washing crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment to a high standard.
• Supporting food preparation (e.g. salads, sandwiches, vegetables)
• Assisting with stock control, deliveries, and correct storage of supplies.
• Ensuring waste is managed safely and efficiently
• Helping maintain beverage stations and supporting front-of-house when needed.
• Carrying out daily checks and reporting any faults or issues promptly

About You

Essential:

• A positive, polite and friendly attitude
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and organisation skills
• A strong work ethic and attention to detail

Desirable:

• Level 2 Food Safety (or willingness to work towards)
• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a catering/restaurant setting
• Customer service or front-of-house experience
• Basic IT experience

Location:The Horder Centre, CrowboroughPart-Time, Permanent (15 hours per week)
Contract:£9,929.40 pro-rata per annum (£24,823.50 full-time equivalent)
Base Salary:Right to work in the UKIn accordance with Home Office guidance, successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencing employment. We have assessed this role and it does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
