Job Description
An exciting part-time opportunity has arisen for an Information Governance Assistant to support the University of Aberdeen’s compliance with information governance legal requirements and processes ensuring adherence to statutory timescales. We are looking for an individual with a good general understanding of UK GDPR and with experience of handling sensitive and confidential data within a customer service or case management role.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for case management of Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests and Subject Access Requests (SARs) by logging; acknowledging and coordinating requests and ensuring compliance with statutory timescales by supporting the work of the Information Governance Team.
This varied role will also involve:
- assisting with requests to exercise other individual rights on personal data;
- supporting personal data breach investigations;
- coordinating responses to supplier cyber and data assessments;
- various administration tasks dependent on the demands of the services.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 3 scale, £26,565 – £27,920 per annum, pro rata with placement according to qualifications and experience.
