ISLINGTON LAW CENTRE is one of the largest Law Centres in the country. We are seeking an experienced IAAS Level 2 or above Asylum and Immigration Solicitor with Supervisor Status
to join our specialist team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced, dynamic, collaborative, and creative team. We are recognised for high-quality specialist publicly funded legal advice and
representation across asylum, trafficking and human rights-based immigration matters. The team received a Category 1 score in its most recent Independent Peer Review for the Legal Aid
Agency.
We are deeply committed to legal aid and to securing access to justice for the communities we serve in Islington and beyond. We work hard to achieve the best possible outcomes for our
clients, litigating where necessary at all levels of the tribunal and court system. Our casework and strategic legal work have contributed to important systemic change.
We are looking for an experienced colleague to join our core, community-facing immigration team for at least 18 months, initially covering two consecutive periods of extended absence,
though the role is intended to be permanent. The successful candidate will ideally have 3–5 years’ PQE as a solicitor and be accredited as a supervisor.
