We’re Britain’s largest Healthcare Charity and we’re serious about shaping the nation’s health. Join us and you’ll have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills, build confidence in a supportive team and play an important role in delivering patient‑centred care. Here, you can grow your career at a pace that feels right for you while making a meaningful difference to those you support.
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Imaging Assistant to join our busy, friendly team at The Holly Hospital. You will play an important part in supporting our Imaging services, ensuring that every patient receives safe, high‑quality and compassionate care. Working alongside radiographers, sonographers and consultants, you’ll help us deliver a smooth, efficient experience for patients, colleagues and visitors.
You will provide hands‑on support across a range of imaging modalities, including Ultrasound, MRI, CT and Interventional Radiology procedures. This will involve preparing patients, positioning and assisting them during examinations, escorting them safely throughout their visit, and supporting the wider team to maintain a professional, well‑organised clinical environment. Diagnostics Imaging Assistant training will be provided to support your development and confidence within the role. Friendly, clear and concise communication skills are essential, along with a positive, can‑do attitude and a willingness to learn.
As an Imaging Assistant, you will:
1. Hold a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, or have a minimum of 3 years’ healthcare experience, preferably within Diagnostics, to ensure you can support safe and effective patient care.
2. Ensure the patient is at the centre of everything you do, promoting dignity, comfort and a positive experience throughout their visit.
3. Take initiative in a busy clinical environment, helping to maintain smooth patient flow and proactively supporting the Imaging team.
4. Communicate clearly, professionally and with empathy, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
5. Use strong organisational skills to contribute to an efficient, well‑run department, including preparing rooms, assisting with equipment and supporting daily workflow.
6. Work collaboratively with radiographers, sonographers, consultants and colleagues, contributing to a positive, respectful and supportive team culture.
