    We’re looking for an HR Generalist to join the St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) and become a valued part of our friendly, supportive HR team. Whether you’re already working in HR or have built a solid foundation and are eager to grow, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and build a broad, well‑rounded HR career.

    About the Role

    As an HR Generalist, you’ll be involved in the full employee lifecycle, gaining exposure across a wide range of HR activities. You’ll provide practical, people‑focused support to colleagues and managers, while learning from experienced HR professionals around you.

    This is a role where no two days are the same, and where your curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm to learn will be genuinely valued.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support day‑to‑day HR activities across the employee lifecycle
    • Provide first‑line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
    • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes
    • Maintain accurate HR records and employee data
    • Support absence management, performance processes, and employee relations matters
    • Prepare HR documentation in line with policies and procedures
    • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times

    About You

    • A minimum of two years’ experience in HR or administration, or
    • CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
    • Strong interest in building a long‑term career in HR
    • Organised, approachable, and confident working with people at all levels
    • Able to manage multiple priorities with good attention to detail
    • Keen to learn, contribute, and grow within a supportive setting
