Please note: Peabody is not a licensed UK sponsor, so we’re unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

At Peabody, we believe every young person deserves the chance to build a bright, independent future, and you could be part of making that happen.

We’re on the lookout for a friendly, motivated Housing Support Worker to support young people aged 16–25, including care leavers, as they take important steps towards independence.

This isn’t a personal care role. Instead, it’s all about guidance, encouragement, and practical support; helping young people gain confidence, develop life skills, and navigate the world around them.

As part of our team, you’ll:

  • Support young people in building essential life skills like budgeting, managing benefits, and understanding housing options
  • Create a safe, positive, and non-judgemental environment where individuals feel heard and valued
  • Encourage independence and help young people shape their own goals and future plans.
  • Bring your own interests and energy (whether that’s sport, music, creative arts, or something else!) to engage and inspire
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to ensure each young person gets the support they need

You don’t have to tick every box, but we’re especially interested in someone who:

  • Builds strong, trusting relationships with young people, including those who may have experienced trauma or challenges
  • Brings creativity and enthusiasm to engaging others
  • Is confident managing their own workload while also being a great team player
  • Has good communication and basic IT skills
  • Has some experience (or transferable skills) from areas like youth work, education, housing, or support services
  • Ideally has some awareness of safeguarding, support planning, or key working

When you join Peabody, you become part of a supportive team that lives by its values:

Be Kind | Do the Right Thing | Love New Ideas | Celebrate Diversity | Keep Our Promises | Pull Together

We’re committed to creating a workplace where you feel valued, included, and empowered - just as we aim to do for the young people we support.

What You’ll Get

  • 25 days’ annual leave.
  • Flexible benefits including healthcare, dental, and discounts.
  • 4x Life Assurance and up to 10% pension contribution.
  • Professional development, including funded apprenticeships.
  • Two paid volunteering days each year.
  • Family-friendly policies and a supportive team culture.

Please read before applying:

This is a full-time, onsite role, and you’ll need to be available to work five days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Shifts may include early mornings and evenings, so flexibility is key.

We’re reviewing applications as they come in, so you might hear from us before the closing date, keep an eye on your inbox and your phone!

Please note: Peabody is not a licensed UK sponsor, so we’re unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
