Job Description

Main Duties

Under supervision, carry out a wide range of horticultural tasks in both the public and restricted areas of the garden, both in a team and at times individually to a performance standard agreed with your line manager

Participate in on-the-job training to learn and develop a range of horticultural skills

Ensure work carried out is done safety and in line with all Health and Safety regulations and procedures

• Safe use of personal equipment and machinery provided

Skills/Aptitude

Understand both verbal and written instructions

Good written communication skills to complete work records: accuracy and neatness

Display good communication skills, be friendly, polite, and approachable to colleagues, managers, and visitors

Show an ability to plan and organise daily work routines, within a team and/or with guidance

Knowledge

Basic computer skills

Display an interest in plants and be interested in following a career within horticulture
