Thrive Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well resourced secondary school in Gloucestershire, and we are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable History Teacher to join their Humanities department on a long term basis. This role is to start ASAP and will run for the remainder of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who can deliver engaging, well structured lessons across KS3 and KS4, inspire curiosity, and bring history to life in the classroom.
The role
• Teaching History across KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
• Planning, marking, and assessment in line with school policies
• Contributing to the wider Humanities team and curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Building strong relationships with students and staff
What we’re looking for
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History
• Ability to deliver high quality lessons that engage and challenge learners
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
• Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress
