HGV Driver
We are looking for an HGV Driver to join the National Theatre's Green Store team.
Based at the National Theatre Green Store (15 Galleywall Rd, London SE16 3PB) this role will work to ensure that the day-to-day operation of the NT's electric HGV and Green Store run safely and efficiently. It will involve regular duty runs between the NT's sites in London as well as driving to other locations in and around London.
This will involve driving the NT HGV, ensuring the safe upkeep and maintenance of the vehicle in conjunction with our transport manager, ensuring that goods are unloaded safely and responsibly, and assisting with the preparation of deliveries at the Green Store when not out on the road. You will work closely with the technical staff at the Green Store, NT hire department and theatre teams to make the best of the vehicle whilst supporting the operational requirements of the NT.
Standard Working Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
The successful candidates will have the following:
- A Class 2 HGV licence
- Experience in the operation of a class 2 HGV (electric a plus).
- Experience in traffic management and the supervision of the loading and unloading of commercial vehicles.
- Experience of working in a theatrical or live event environment.
- An awareness of relevant health and safety legislation including the HSWA and Manual Handling Regulations.
- Experience planning routes and weekly delivery schedules
