    Healthcare Assistant, Theatresto join our dedicated theatre team at The McIndoe Centre in East Grinstead.

    About the Role

    As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll work alongside registered Theatre Practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective and compassionate care. You’ll help ensure theatres are prepared, patients are supported and procedures run smoothly, all whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, dignity and safety.

    What You’ll Be Doing
    • Supporting direct patient care under the supervision of registered Theatre Practitioners.
    • Preparing operating theatres, equipment and supplies for procedures.
    • Assisting with patient transfers to and from theatre, ensuring comfort and safety.
    • Supporting theatre procedures, including assisting with instrument preparation.
    • Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and safety within theatre areas.
    • Recording relevant patient information and observations accurately.
    • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
    • Reporting concerns, incidents or changes promptly to senior staff.
    • Attending mandatory training and engaging in ongoing development.

    What We’re Looking ForEssential
    • Experience working in an acute hospital or theatre setting.
    • GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and English.
    • A caring, proactive and professional approach.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Willingness to learn and develop within a theatre environment..
    Location:The McIndoe Centre, East GrinsteadContract:Permanent, full timeShifts:4 out of 5 days, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm. Some weekend work required.Salary:up to £26,071.50 per annum, depending on qualifications (NVQ) and experienceRight to work in the UKIn accordance with Home Office guidance, successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencing employment. We have assessed this role and it does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
