Health Research Assistant

As a Health Research Assistant, you’ll play a hands-on role in that journey. Supporting participants through their visit, collecting vital data, and ensuring every interaction is delivered with care, clarity, and professionalism.

Can you do it?
You’ll be based within our Imaging Centre in Bristol, working directly with participants as they attend their appointments.
This is a varied, people-focused role combining clinical-style tasks, data collection, and participant care. You’ll guide individuals through their visit, carry out key procedures, and help ensure everything runs smoothly.
No two days are the same, and the work you do contributes directly to research used across the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain blood samples via Venepuncture (training provided)
- Ensure participant welfare throughout their visit with good level of quality care
- Conduct physical measures to collect data from the participant
- Processing biological samples within a laboratory setting
- Conduct study interviews with participants to obtain health information
Is this you?
To be successful, you will have:
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to clearly explain procedures and instructions to participants
- Passionate about delivering excellent person-centred customer service
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, Word and Excel or equivalent)
- Exhibit attention to detail with a specific focus on quality
- Ability to manage and prioritise workloads with alignment SOP’s

The working pattern for this role, and the salary, is based on 24 hours per week (2 x 12-hour shifts) over Monday to Sunday, 7.30am-8.30pm.
