St Elizabeth's Centre is seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join our Health & Care Quality Committee (HCQC). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Trustee Board to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety and governance across our specialist services.

Based in 60 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, St Elizabeth's Centre is a charity providing education, care and support for children, young people and adults with epilepsy, learning disabilities and other complex needs.

About the Role

As a member of the Health & Care Quality Committee, you will:

  • Provide strategic oversight of the quality and safety of our health and care services.
  • Review performance, governance and quality assurance reports.
  • Support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
  • Visit services to gain insight into the experiences of the people we support.
  • Offer constructive challenge and independent professional advice.
  • Act as an ambassador for St Elizabeth's Centre and its mission.

You will work alongside Trustees, senior leaders and fellow committee members to help ensure our services remain safe, effective, compassionate and person-centred.

We're Looking For

We would particularly welcome applications from senior professionals with experience in:

  • Health and social care leadership
  • Clinical governance and quality improvement
  • Nursing or allied health professions
  • Learning disabilities, epilepsy or complex care
  • Safeguarding and quality assurance
  • CQC and/or Ofsted regulated services
  • Service development, innovation or research
  • Strategic leadership and organisational governance

Board or committee experience is welcomed but not essential.

You'll be someone who:

  • Is committed to improving outcomes for people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Can think strategically and contribute to good governance.
  • Is confident providing constructive challenge and independent advice.
  • Builds positive relationships and works collaboratively.

  • Supports the Catholic ethos and mission of St Elizabeth's Centre.
