The Board of Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding Head of Finance & Compliance to support the Head, Dr Rebecca Ashcroft, in developing and implementing her ambitious plans for Red House. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, energetic and resourceful individual to join the Senior Management Team and play a pivotal role in the ongoing strategic development of the School.
Reporting to the Head, the Head of Finance & Compliance will provide leadership to a diverse team of support staff, and ensure the successful management of the day-to-day non-educational operations of the School. The Head of Finance & Compliance will be responsible for the effective control of financial affairs and operational business management including estates, facilities, maintenance, risk management, compliance and health and safety, GDPR, and catering.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of effective senior leadership and will evidence outstanding relationship-building and communication skills. They will demonstrate exceptional financial and commercial acumen, strong business skills and the ability to lead and direct the School’s support operations.
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications are not required; however, they would be considered advantageous. Similarly, existing school Head of Finance/Bursar experience is not a pre-requisite and applications are encouraged from a broad range of sectors, including industry, financial and professional services.
