Millfield School is currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our outstanding team of Leisure Supervisors on a zero-hours basis.
Millfield has an exceptional reputation for swimming, encompassing comprehensive student swim programmes, private lessons, and our state-of-the-art 50m and 25m pools. Our dedicated team of Supervisors and pool staff play a vital role in maintaining this success.
We are looking for candidates with a valid NPLQ qualification and ideally some experience in lifeguarding or supervisory roles (although this is not essential). You should be confident, proactive, and a strong communicator, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. A willingness to lead by example and maintain high standards is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of lifeguards and swim teachers
- Performing lifeguard duties at both the Millfield Senior and Prep Pools
- Acting as a key holder and ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed
- Setting up and dismantling equipment
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Supervising the Cricket Centre and Golf Centre
Experience in the leisure industry or customer service is advantageous.
This is a zero-hours role with flexible shifts available, including days, evenings, and weekends, depending on operational needs. The role offers £13.23 per hour plus statutory holiday pay.

MILLFIELD Enterprises Temporary JOB VACANCIES
Millfield Enterprises is the commercial arm of Millfield School. We recruit temporary staff aged 18 or over, who are eligible to work in the UK, to support a variety of Millfield Enterprises holiday courses. Roles include pastoral and locum duties, as well as sports coaching positions.
