Millfield Prep School is seeking a well-organised and proactive Administrator (Transport) to join our busy General Office team. This varied role includes managing the school’s transport processes, liaising with departments, and providing wider administrative support across the school. This is a term-time role plus 4 additional weeks, working 35 hours per week: during term time Monday to Friday, 9.00am–5.00pm, and outside term time Monday to Friday, 9.00am–3.00pm. The salary for this position is £18,117.13 per annum.
Key duties include maintaining pupil records and registers, supporting the school calendar and events, covering reception, assisting with reports and meetings, and ensuring effective communication with parents through our systems. The role also involves general office tasks such as handling post, ordering supplies, and supporting colleagues across departments.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and confidence with Microsoft Excel. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Millfield School is seeking a full-time Leisure Attendant to join our outstanding pool facilities team. With a renowned swimming programme, world-class 50m and 25m pools, and private lessons, Millfield’s success relies on the dedication of our Leisure Attendants.
Key responsibilities include:
· Lifeguarding at both Millfield Main Pool and Millfield Prep Pool
· Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations, codes of practice, and operational protocols to safeguard all users
· Supervision of the Cricket and Golf Centres
A valid NPLQ certificate is essential, and prior lifeguarding experience is advantageous. The ideal candidate will exhibit confidence, a collaborative spirit and strong communication skills.
This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week on a shift rota, predominantly early mornings and day shifts however this will also include some weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
In return, you will receive a salary based on age: those under the age of 21 will receive £21,439.60 per annum, and those aged 21 and over will receive £22,222 per annum, in line with the National Living Wage. You will also benefit from a number of staff perks, including generous holiday entitlement, freshly prepared lunches for just £10.30 per month, access to the school facilities, and discounts/cashback on high street shops and restaurants through the school’s Employee Assistance Programme.

Millfield is seeking a dynamic Head of Learning Support Centre (LSC) and SENCo to lead our innovative, CReSTeD-accredited department at the heart of the school. The LSC supports students with Additional Educational Needs (AEN), most commonly Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), and is staffed by a skilled team of teachers, tutors, and specialists.
The LSC provides specialist teaching and support for students from Years 9–U6 through timetabled Study Support lessons. It also offers guidance and training for teachers across the school to ensure all students with AEN can thrive in their classrooms.
As Head of LSC, you will lead the department strategically, overseeing the Brilliance Curriculum, staffing, budgets, resources, and teaching standards. You will monitor student progress, support staff development, manage timetables, and contribute to wider school initiatives.
As SENCo, you will manage the AEN register, assessment processes, exam access arrangements, and EHCP provision, liaising with parents, staff, external agencies, and Local Authorities. You will also support student transitions and ensure continuity of provision with the Prep School.
The ideal candidate will hold a current practising certificate in assessing specific learning difficulties issued by a relevant professional association, such as PATOSS, Dyslexia Action, or the British Dyslexia Association, or an equivalent qualification to undertake full diagnostic assessment for specific learning difficulties. They will have experience assessing secondary-level pupils for Additional Educational Needs and exam access arrangements, interpreting diagnostic reports. To be considered for the role candidates must hold a post-graduate SpLD level 7 qualification.
