Competitive Salary
Closing Date: Noon, 19th August
Millfield School is seeking a Director of International Development to shape and deliver its international development strategy, driving sustainable growth through the establishment and oversight of a portfolio of high-quality overseas campuses.
Millfield School is one of the UK's leading independent co-educational boarding and day schools, set across 200 acres of Somerset countryside in Street, near Glastonbury. Founded in 1935, Millfield has long been a pioneer in education: it was among the first independent schools in the country to be co-educational and the first to successfully support dyslexic students. Today, with over 1,300 students in the senior school and a further 440 at Millfield Prep, the school offers world-leading teaching and coaching in an environment of extraordinary breadth and ambition. Millfield is not like other schools; it never has been. Its purpose is to discover brilliance in every child and to transform lives through education.
The successful candidate will have extensive commercial experience and the ability to lead and accelerate Millfield’s global growth strategy, with a track record of identifying and managing international commercial opportunities from concept to operation. They will possess excellent stakeholder management skills and have a strong understanding of operating across diverse cultural, political, and regulatory environments. They will reflect Millfield's values when representing the brand: be kind, be authentic, be disruptors, be curious, be brilliant.
This is a year-round, full-time role based in Street, Somerset, offering a competitive salary, commensurate with experience. The position is initially offered on a one-year fixed-term basis, with a review at the end of the contract period. Extensive international travel will be required.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Wednesday 19 August. Interviews are to be confirmed but are provisionally expected to take place the week commencing 7 September.
