Handball Coach
Description
We are looking for a coach to lead the coaching of UCL's handball club.
The club currently has a women's competitive team and a men's competitive team that train together.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the coaching of a group of motivated beginner and experienced handball players in a friendly and familiar environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• To lead training sessions for the club at Somers Town Community Sports Centre on Mondays from 19:00-20:30 during Term times (September-March)
• To coach at BUCS fixtures. • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and skill-appropriate training sessions, adhering to safety guidelines.
• Motivate players to achieve their potential and foster a positive club culture.
• To coordinate with club committee members and staff at Students’ Union UCL to ensure effective programme delivery.
• Support the club committee members with the sport-specific development of the club.
Qualifications and Experience:
• England Handball Level 1 coaching qualified or above.
• If possible first aid qualified.
• Previous coaching and playing experience.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse group of players.
Session: Mondays 19:00-20:30 @ Somers Town Community Sports Centre, NW1 1RX
