Northamptonshire Arts Management Trust Job Description Department: Sales Job Title: Groups and Sales Development Advisor Responsible To: Box Office Manager Job Purpose: The Groups and Sales Development Advisor plays a key role in driving ticket sales and audience growth across Northamptonshire Arts Management Trust’s venues. Working within the Sales team, the postholder will focus on developing group bookings, generating sales through proactive customer engagement and supporting the delivery of sales targets across the programme. The role is responsible for processing ticket bookings and sales enquiries via phone, email and counter where required, ensuring customers receive accurate event information and a high standard of customer service throughout the booking process. Working within a flexible sales environment, the postholder will actively identify opportunities to maximise ticket revenue, promote memberships and charitable donations where appropriate, and contribute to the effective operation of the organisation’s ticketing service across its venues Key Task Areas: • Develop and grow group ticket sales across the programme, including schools, community organisations and corporate groups. • Build and maintain relationships with group organisers to encourage repeat attendance and increased booking volumes. • Proactively contact group organisers and previous bookers to promote relevant productions and events and encourage repeat attendance. • Identify opportunities to maximise ticket sales through group bookings and targeted customer engagement. • Manage group booking allocations, communications and payment schedules in line with organisational procedures. • Support the delivery of agreed sales targets relating to group bookings and audience development. • Process ticket bookings and sales enquiries via phone, email and counter for productions and events across the venues for which NAMT provides Box Office services. Job Ref: Groups and Sales Development Advisor March 2026 • Provide accurate information about productions, events, pricing and venue facilities to support ticket sales. • Actively identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell and maximise customer spend through ticket purchases, memberships and charitable donations. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the programme, including on-sales, promotions, access performances and customer offers, to support effective ticket sales. • Support customers with access requirements by ensuring appropriate information is captured and suitable seating options are offered in line with the organisation’s access procedures. • Process bookings and provide information relating to participation and learning activity where required. • Ensure customers receive a welcoming, professional and engaging experience throughout the booking process. • Maintain accurate customer records within Tessitura and ensure data is recorded in accordance with organisational procedures and GDPR requirements. • Process vouchers, loyalty memberships and ticket allocations as required. • Process ticket bookings for Business Club members in accordance with membership booking arrangements. • Process staff and company complimentary tickets in accordance with organisational policy and performance agreements. • Use ticketing and administrative systems including Tessitura, X Ledger and Microsoft Office applications to support ticket sales and record keeping. • Ensure bookings, reservations and customer records are accurately maintained to support the effective operation of the ticketing service. • Support the Box Office Manager and wider Sales team during key on-sale periods and high-demand booking windows to ensure an efficient ticketing service. • Monitor group bookings and payment deadlines to ensure reservations are managed effectively. • Share feedback on customer trends, booking behaviour and sales opportunities where appropriate. • Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally, resolving issues where possible or escalating where necessary. • Assist with mobile or pop-up box office activity where required. • Attend staff meetings, team briefings and training sessions as required. This role operates on a flexible rota, published six weeks in advance, typically working Tuesday to Saturday and including evenings where required to support busy booking periods and performances. Salary: £24,750 per annum, increasing to £25,750 following probation period (FTE £26,164 – £27,221) Paid monthly on 20th of each month Work locations: Royal & Derngate, 19-21 Guildhall Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 1DP and The Core at Corby Cube, Corby, Northamptonshire, NN17 1QG.
