| Job Overview | The Grounds & Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Estate Manager toensure the Schoo's buildings, grounds, sport facilities and wider estate are maintained to anexceptionally high standard. The role helps keep the School operating smoothly byproviding reliable hands-on support across a wide range of maintenance and grounds tasks. |
| Duties andResponsibilities: | Key ResponsibilitiesBuilding maintenance - Assist with repairs and upkeep of internal and externalbuildings on the School campus, including basic plumbing and carpentry.Grounds maintenance - Support the care of lawns, hedges, pathways, and sportspitches, including grass cutting and hedge trimming. Swimming facility support -Assist with routine maintenance and safe operation of the School's swimmingfacilities.Power tool operation - Safely use a wide range of power tools and machinery,reporting and recording any defects/incidents promptly.Event support – Assist with School events such as Sports Day, Prize Giving, andBonfire Night e.g. marshalling and general tasksFacilities set-up – Move furniture and equipment to support School activities andevents.Drive School minibuses and other vehicles as required.Carry out all work in accordance with the appropriate risk assessment and methodstatement in conjunction with the Estate Manager.Provide occasional weekend and evening support for School events.Undertake additional reasonable tasks as requested by the Estate Manager orDirector of Finance & Operations.The duties set out above are not exhaustive and the school may request that thepost holder carry out other reasonable duties commensurate with their skills andabilities. |
