Student Support Services provide a wide range of specialist support to help students succeed academically, personally and financially throughout their time at the University of Aberdeen.As the University continues to enhance its student support provision, there is increasing need for responsive, accessible, and student-centred services that ensure students receive timely advice and are connected quickly with the most appropriate support.

Job Description

The Student Advice & Support team are seeking to recruit two Graduate Trainee Student Support Coordinators who will play an important role in the delivery of frontline student support, triage, case coordination and service administration. The postholders will work closely with students, Student Support staff and colleagues across the University to ensure students receive effective support and guidance, while contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of Student Support Services.

The Graduate Trainee Student Support Coordinators play a key role in delivering an accessible, welcoming and responsive frontline service for students seeking advice and support. The Coordinators also play an important role in supporting a range of administrative and financial processes within Student Advice & Support, including logging and assessing applications for financial support, invoicing, raising purchase orders, and ensuring timely and accurate income regeneration from the Disabled Students’ Allowance.

The postholders will support the operation of a new, enhanced, triage model, acting as an early point of contact for students presenting with a wide range of enquiries and concerns. Through proactive assessment, information gathering and signposting, the role will help ensure students receive timely responses and are directed to the most appropriate support pathway.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4 scale, £28,199 per annum, pro rata, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
