About The Role
- Reports to:Head of GeographyStart date:September 2026We're seeking a Geography teacher, where you will deliver outstanding teaching and learning of Geography (and subjects outside of specialism particularly KS3 and KS4 Religious Studies) as needed, supporting pupils to achieve excellent results, and to be a positive role-model.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, resource and deliver lessons to the highest standard so that pupils make exceptional progress
- Create a positive climate for learning, by explicitly teaching lesson routines and applying behaviour systems consistently
- Contribute to the planning of assessments and subject specific revision, including preparing pupils for national examinations
- Develop strong partnerships and ensure regular communication with parents, be active in issues of pupil welfare and support
- Mastery of and enthusiasm for Geography, knowledge of the national secondary education system, examinations and curriculum
- Excellent understanding of both subject and general teaching pedagogy
- Experience of leading successful enrichment which inspire and motivate learners
- Excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills
- Qualified to teach and work in the U.K.
- Strong A-Levels or equivalent
- Degree in geography or degree in a closely related subject
