At Cranstoun, we are looking for an experienced and committed General Practitioner to join our community drug and alcohol service in Sutton.
We provide a range of specialist services for people affected by alcohol and other drugs across the London Borough of Sutton, supporting individuals to improve their health, wellbeing and recovery outcomes.
The General Practitioner will work within the multidisciplinary team to provide medical assessment, diagnosis and ongoing management of service users’ physical health needs within the community drug and alcohol setting.
The post holder will provide expert clinical leadership for medicines optimisation and prescribing within the service, including opioid substitution treatment and alcohol detoxification prescribing where commissioned.
You will undertake comprehensive health assessments, including blood borne virus screening and vaccination pathways, support the identification and management of co-morbidity and risk, and work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure safe, effective and person-centred care.
You will bring strong clinical expertise, sound knowledge of substance misuse treatment, excellent communication and decision-making skills, and a commitment to improving outcomes for people with complex physical health, mental health and substance use needs.

All post holders may be required to work some evenings, to meet our service delivery requirements. The core service operates Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm.
