You will be part of the Worcestershire leadership team and support the County Manager to deliver a safe, effective, and efficient service to our current and future service users.
You will line manage a team of Key Workers. Amongst other duties you will support individuals’ development, support personnel matters, listen, respond, and care about staff and service user wellbeing, oversee performance of your wider team, manage the operational flow of your team, maintain high standards of practice, and support your team to achieve wider service targets.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years effective leadership and/or supervisory experience. You will need to demonstrate effective communication and organisational skills and have the ability to manage change whilst working to deadlines. You will need to be confident working with external agencies and deliver learning sessions to your team and other agencies where required. You will need a key eye for detail as part of your role will be to review incidents, ensure compliance with clinical audits and create plans to respond to recommendations. You will also be required to form part of the duty management rota for the service.
You’ll need to have good writing, verbal and computing skills and be able to work confidently with all Microsoft programs and case management systems.

As part of the administration team, you will be the first point of contact, dealing with people who use our services in a non-judgmental, open and honest manner, helping them to feel comfortable when accessing our service. Working as a team you will also be responsible for providing effective administrative support to the Worcestershire service, including prescribing administration. Experience of prescribing is not required as training will be provided.
You’ll need excellent communication skills to provide a welcoming and informative front of house and telephone service to all our customers. Cranstoun work with the West Midlands Police Crime and Commissioner to deliver an Arrest Referral Service to the custody suites of West Midlands Police offering drug and alcohol using offenders the opportunity to break the cycle of substance related crime.
We are looking for a Team Leader to lead our teams based in the custody suites throughout the West Midlands. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently, and possess excellent organisational skills. You should have experience of supervising workers, and you will also need to demonstrate experience and/ or related skills in relation to enhancing services, ideally using innovative and collaborative approaches.
You will ensure service users coming into custody are given the best possible chance of addressing their substance use issues and offending behaviour. You will work alongside community treatment providers to maintain a positive working relationship, as well as West Midlands Police officers and staff to raise awareness of the service.
You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of all elements of our substance use work including case management, needle exchange, naloxone and assertive engagement, as well as other associated duties. You need to have an understanding of the issues faced by drug and alcohol users who commit crime and be dedicated to delivering a service that supports these individuals to address their lifestyle choices.
