Are you looking for a rewarding and varied gap-year opportunity in a leading independent school?
Ardingly College is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Gap Assistant team for a one-term placement. This is an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable experience working across a busy and vibrant school community, supporting both academic and co-curricular life.
As a Gap Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils and staff across the Prep and Lower School, with a particular focus on boarding and sport.
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for candidates keen to immerse themselves in school life while gaining practical experience.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking applicants who are:
- Enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable
- Confident working with children and able to build positive relationships
- Strong team players with excellent communication skills
- Interested in sport (ability in at least two of the College’s core sports is essential)
- Willing to immerse themselves fully in school life
Previous coaching or officiating experience and sports qualifications are desirable.
