This strategic, relational role sits at the heart of Safe Families and Home for Good’s Fundraising Team and is key in ensuring our financial sustainability. The Fundraising Assistant will work alongside the Fundraising Managers, Fundraising Team Leader and the Head of Fundraising to raise funds for the charity’s work in line with our mission, strategy and values.
This role is vital for the smooth running of the Fundraising Team, ensuring donor information is up-to-date, facilitating robust reporting, and enabling the wider staff team to stay informed about the difference fundraising is making.
You’ll be donor-facing, connecting with supporters by phone, email and post, so a friendly manner and passion for people will be vital. This role will be part of a team answering phone calls to the charity across diverse areas, so you’ll need to be able to share our vision with passion, enthusiasm and warmth.
The day-to-day will also involve ensuring information is up to date across varied platforms; an eye for detail, perseverance to follow through, strong problem solving and administration skills are key.
Fundraising sits within the National Team, which also includes Communications, Advocacy, Finance, Systems and Solutions, and People and Culture.
This is a maternity cover contract. Subject to continued partnership funding
Part time 0.6 (22 hours 30 minutes)
Flexible but based at one of our regional offices: (Aberdeen, Cardiff, Carlisle, Darlington, Dudley, Edinburgh, Grimsby, Leicester, Lincoln, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Southampton, Taunton.)
£ 24,280.00 – £ 25,280.00 (+£3,000 for London Weighting) (pro rata FTE 0.6 £ 14,568.00 – £ 15,168.00). (appointments made above the starting salary will be dependent on skills and experience in line with evidencing the relevant competencies for the role.)
36 days annual leave allowance (inclusive of bank holidays and Christmas closure), option to purchase additional leave and extra days added to your allowance with length of service. Pro-rated for part time staff.
