Freelance Opportunity: Community Toilet Scheme (B&NES)
Freelance Opportunity: Community Toilet Scheme (B&NES)
Older People’s Voice (OPV) is seeking a freelance Research & Engagement Lead to explore the development of a Community Toilet Scheme across Bath & North East Somerset. Access to toilets is a significant issue raised by older people locally, affecting confidence, independence and participation in community life. This short, focused project will research best practices from other areas and test appetite among local businesses and partners for introducing a similar scheme in B&NES.
The appointed freelancer will engage with local venues, secure initial business participation, work with key council officers, and produce clear, practical recommendations for how the scheme could be developed and maintained in future. This is a fixed-fee project running from late March to late May 2026.
