The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is back again in 2026, running 5 – 31 August, and we’re excited to be part of it, once again providing incredible experiences at Edinburgh's top festival venues this summer!
Pleasance Theatre Trust will return to our Potterrow and Pleasance venues, and this year we’re also excited to be welcoming Gilded Balloon back into Teviot, after a two and a half year renovation. Hours: Minimum 10 hours per week (expected average of 3-5 shifts worked per week)

Positions Available:
We are looking for enthusiastic Team Members to join our dynamic commercial team for Festival 2026. As a Festival Team Member, you will work in one of the following areas; Food & Beverage, Venue Operations, Stock or Retail.
Food & Beverage Team Member
As a Food & Beverage Team Member, you'll provide professional, friendly, and efficient service while maintaining high standards. You'll prepare and serve food and beverages, ensuring consistency and quality. Maintaining a clean and welcoming environment is key, as is adhering to premises license conditions and hygiene standards. You'll also manage stock levels, perform regular checks, assist with internal stock movement, and roam the audience with our mobile units to upsell products to the queues. Food and Beverage outlets operate from 8am to 4am, seven days a week during the Festival. Most shifts will be scheduled within these hours, with some extending to 6am on certain days.
Venue Operations Team Member
As a Venue Operations Team Member, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and comfort of all members and customers by keeping the premises clean and tidy. You'll welcome visitors, assist with access requirements and maintain high standards of customer service. You'll also ensure appropriate behaviour standards, prepare areas for use, complete safety checks and assist with building security. The role is heavily centred on ensuring the venue looks clean and can be physically demanding as you will be on your feet in a busy venue. In case of an emergency, you'll assist with building evacuations. The Venue Operation team is needed during Food and Beverage trading hours, from 8am to 4am, seven days a week during the Festival. Most shifts will be scheduled within these hours, with some extending to 6am on certain days.
Stock Team Member
As a Stock Team Member, you'll ensure bar products reach outlets at the highest quality and standards. You'll maintain cleanliness in cellars and stores, manage access for security, and provide exceptional stock service to the F&B team. Responsibilities include distributing and recording stock movement (involves heavy lifting), maintaining storage standards, and rotating stock to prevent loss and poor quality. You'll coordinate stock movement with drivers and managers and perform other necessary duties. The Stock Team is needed during Food and Beverage trading hours, from 8am to 4am, seven days a week during the Festival. Most shifts will typically be scheduled between 6:30am and 3pm.
Retail Team Member
As a Retail Team Member, you'll provide professional, friendly, and efficient service, acting as the main point of contact for customer inquiries. You'll maintain a clean and well-presented shop area, replenish and merchandise stock, and use the EPOS system correctly. Adhering to stock control, ordering, and delivery procedures, as well as premises license conditions when selling alcohol, is crucial. You'll also handle cash and follow correct procedures. Retail outlets may operate from 9am to 4am, seven days a week during the Festival. Staff must be available to work during these hours.

The recruitment process will include a one-way video interview, which you will be invited to complete once your application is submitted. This is super flexible and can be done at a time and location of your choosing. The video interview must be completed by 13th May.
You must be available to work 31 July – 31 August 2026 inclusively (for Retail TM only, 3 August – 6 September inclusively). This includes compulsory in-person training, without which you will not be able to work for us.
