Factoring Assistant
Contract: Temporary for up to six monthsSalary: £26,048 (pro rata £13,024)Hours: 17.5 hours per week

The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative and customer support within the factoring service, ensuring accurate processing of property sales, maintenance of owner records, timely billing, and effective communication with stakeholders. The role supports the delivery of a professional and responsive service to factored owners and contributes to the smooth operation of the department through collaborative working and attention to detail.
The key responsibilities of this role are to manage end-to-end property sale and ownership changes, including solicitor liaison, sales invoicing, and new owner account setup. Raise and monitor factoring invoices, apportion charges accurately, and support credit control/debt recovery. Provide responsive customer service across phone/email/writing, maintaining compliant records and communications. Support team administration and collaborate with internal colleagues and external agencies to ensure consistent service delivery.
To be successful in this role you should have demonstrable experience of being able to work proactively, with minimum supervision and a track record of delivering outcomes on time and to a high standard. Demonstrate a basic understanding of Factoring Legislation and associated legislation e.g. H&S and a knowledge, and understanding of housing and finance systems modules are desirable.
Full driving licence is desirable.
