We’re looking for an Events Experience Assistant to join our National Events Team. The National Events Team supports the RNLI through planning and delivering a calendar of inspiring and impactful events that build better engagement, nurture strong relationships, and grow income with a variety of target audiences from crew and local communities to existing and potential supporters, donors, and volunteers. In addition to this we provide an event consultancy service to the wider RNLI to ensure we deliver safe, legally compliant, customer focussed and profitable events.
About the role
This varied role within the National Events Team, plays an integral part in delivering RNLI events and campaigns that build strong relationships with a variety of audiences.
The successful candidate will provide vital support to a team of Event Managers and Event Business Partners as well as acting as our initial point of contact for event participants, supporters, and other key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing admin support and fulfilment for specific events
- Managing internal processes (purchase orders, hire cars, travel booking, event equipment management, guest and RSVP management)
- Managing the RNLI’s online registration / ticketing platform for events for volunteer-led events and providing support and training on the platform to volunteers.
About you
To be our Events Experience Assistant you will need:
- Excellent organisational skills,
- Attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A good working knowledge of Eventbrite and Microsoft Office especially Outlook is essential.
Experience with SharePoint, InDesign, Microsoft AX, Dynamics 365, Care NG, Assemble and Beacon would be beneficial, but is not essential.
Whilst this role is predominately desk based some of the responsibilities require physical activity such as organising the event store and loading/unloading vehicles. There is also a requirement to travel to events on a limited basis as part of this role.
