Salary: £31,916 - £36,937 per annum (depending on experience)
Full time 37.5 per week

As we continue to evolve, we are looking for compassionate, resilient, calm, and proactive Essential Skills Facilitator to join our team.
St Andrew’s Birmingham is a 125 bedded adult mental healthcare facility comprises of eight units that cover medium and low security for both Men and Women. Located in Stirchley, a vibrant area in South Birmingham, easily accessible by road networks and public transport
The role of Essential Skills Facilitator
The Essential Skills Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of a programme of essential skills interventions which support employees throughout the Charity in the development of knowledge, skills and competencies. This will include; multi-disciplinary scenario-based training in regard to resuscitation, manual handling and the positive and safe agenda.
A key element of this post is to champion and inspire others to actively engage with the philosophy of least restrictive practice throughout the charity, focusing on the implementation of a culture of positive and compassionate care alongside a reduction of restrictive practices
You’ll also have lots of support to continue your professional development and to remain up to date with your clinical practice, as well as further opportunities to progress your career.
What you will need for this role
You will need to have a learning and development related qualification (such as PETTLS or equivalent), a diploma in restraint reduction would be of benefit, however there will be an opportunity to commence this academic qualification for the successful candidates.
Experience of working in specialist mental health settings and the ability to guide and motivate the attitudes knowledge and skills of others is also key, as you will be relied upon challenge and influence the practice of clinicians.
