Naomi House and Jacksplace are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-focused

Ecommerce Assistantto help generate vital income through our online sales platforms. Reporting to the Ecommerce Manager, you will play a key role in managing online listings, optomising product descriptions, promoting and selling a wide variety of donated items across online platforms, helping to maximise value while delivering an excellent customer experience.

The Ecommerce Assistant will work closely with our Shop Managers to understand their stock requirements and ensure a steady flow of high-quality donations for online sales as well as monitoring and analysing sales performance to maximise revenue.   This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about pre-loved items, with ecommerce experience in retail.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating high‑quality online listings with accurate descriptions, pricing and photography
  • Selecting the best online selling method across all channels to maximise income from donated items
  • Ensuring all listings comply with platform selling regulations ie eBay and Depop and charity guidelines
  • Maintaining the highest standard of photography to support each item listing and ensure that the description is clear, concise, and informative.
  • Ensure the usage of the correct long tail key words in the title to maximise the potential of Google and the selling channel algorithms, to improve search and visibility and sales
  • Support team members in using product market research & price checking along with quality control checks.
  • Monitoring sales performance and identifying opportunities to grow online income
  • Providing excellent customer service and resolving online sales queries
  • Assisting with packing and posting sold items
  • Maintaining a tidy, safe and compliant ecommerce workspace.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Proven experience of working with online sales platforms (e.g eBay, Depop or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrable planning and organisational abilities, capable of prioritising and managing multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of charity retail industry trends, customer behaviour, best practices and improving customer journey.
  • A strong understanding of pricing strategies and market research
  • Proficiency in ecommerce platforms and tools.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A good communicator, able to consult confidently, with proven ability to engage, influence and negotiate.
  • Passion for charity retail with an interest in pre-loved goods, collectables and antiques.

Benefits:

Working 12 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Ideally across 3 days) with the potential to work overtime.

Hourly rate of pay: £13.45

Naomi House nursing and medical staff provide individualised care that helps to enhance short lives and supports families to make the most of their precious time with their children.  

Jacksplace is the only hospice for young adults in the South of England. The medical and care teams offer specialist care, often over many years, and uphold the dignity and independence of young adults accessing the service.

Naomi House & Jacksplace will be there on good days, difficult days and last days.
