About You

You're passionate about developing the next generation of Early Years professionals and helping apprentices build the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed.

Whether you're an experienced Early Years Tutor or Assessor, or an experienced Early Years professional looking to take the next step into teaching and assessing, we'd love to hear from you. If you have the right industry experience and a passion for supporting others to learn, we'll provide the support you need to develop in the Early Years Apprenticeship Tutor role, including helping you achieve an assessor qualification if you don't already hold one.

Essential

• A Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years.
• Recent industry experience within an Early Years setting.
• Experience of teaching, mentoring, coaching or supporting the development of others.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage apprentices, employers and colleagues.
• Excellent organisational and digital skills, with the ability to manage a caseload, maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality learning and supporting apprentices to achieve positive outcomes.

Desirable

• An assessor qualification (A1/CAVA or equivalent) — if not, we’ll fund it and support you to achieve it in your first months
• A teaching qualification, or experience tutoring or mentoring
• Familiarity with e-portfolio systems or apprenticeship funding rules

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Tutor to join our Skills team, delivering the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner and Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standards across Suffolk and the surrounding areas.

This is a predominantly remote role, supporting apprentices across the region, with regular travel to apprentice workplaces.

You'll manage a caseload of apprentices throughout their learning journey, delivering high-quality teaching, coaching and assessment that helps them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for a successful career in early years education.

Working closely with employers, you'll provide personalised support through regular reviews, workplace assessments and preparation for End-Point Assessment, ensuring apprentices remain engaged, make excellent progress and achieve their qualifications on time. You'll embed English, Maths and professional behaviours into learning, maintain accurate learner records and contribute to a high-quality apprenticeship experience.

You'll also play an important role in developing and maintaining strong employer partnerships, promoting our apprenticeship programmes, supporting the recruitment and enrolment of apprentices, and identifying opportunities to grow our Early Years provision across the region.
