Devotee Care (DCO) Support Officer
Bhaktivedanta Manor – Devotee Care Office is offering a wonderful opportunity to enhance and add value to devotees’ spiritual, emotional, physical, social wellbeing.
We are looking for a caring, empathic, confident and keen candidate to join the Manor Devotee Care Office in a supporting role. This role will make a difference for devotees during challenging situations.
The service will involve supporting devotees in need and assisting in the establishing of effective, sensitive and caring support systems to enable them to comfortably continue in their Krishna conscious journey. Ensuring that devotees are spiritually happy and where possible materially well situated.
The DCO Support Officer will serve with and report to and serve with the Devotee Care Office Director. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their service load and prioritising tasks while being polite, patient and comforting with devotees.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Financial and Non – Financial Administration
- Preparing financial statements, reports, memos, invoices, letters and other documents
- Keeping detail reports on each client.
- Collecting receipts, recording and arranging payments for expenses incurred
- Tracking travel miles and arranging payments
- All aspects of administration for the Dept such as:
- Monitoring incoming emails and taking appropriate action
- Correspondence
- Filing documents
- Maintaining an electronic filing system
- Any database requirements and
- Inventory of DC initiatives
- Communication and Marketing
- Maintaining a strong service relationship with other relevant departments at Bhativedanta Manor
- Set up and manage social media: YouTube, Instagram, Facebook
- manage email addresses and other inquiries through other sources
- Respond to all Social Media inquiries
- Manage all Social Media uploads
- Creation of videos etc
- Works With DC Marketing Strategist to develop and adhere to the strategy
- Develop publicity materials, E-leaflets, hard copies leaflets, exhibition material
- assist in planning and organising the annual Devotee Fest , and any other relevant events
- publicise the service widely to recruiting clients.
- Assist in producing a Devotee care Newsletter on regular basis and Manage the Radar list
- Krishna’s Helpers
- Managing expenses – eg travel
- Enable regular communication with the volunteers, managing and overseeing their delivery rota.
- Ensuring our kitchen is up to date with numbers of meals being delivered
- Keeping a spread sheet to log progress with clients
- When needed delivering meals
- Devotee Care Team
- Offering support to DCT members
- Organising regular meetings, minute taking, scheduling meetings
- Assist in producing regular update reports for DCT and temple management
- Feedback and Monitoring
- Assist in ringing clients, conducting a satisfaction / improvement survey.
- Assessing success of our intervention
- Reporting outcomes
6.Fund Raising
- Assist in identifying funding sources and compiling application for the funds to enable sustainability of the initiative
- Working Across Statutory Organisations
Eg: Social Services, Care Agencies and Care Homes, Hospitals etc
- Sign posting, communicating with agencies via robust referral system.
- Plan the Devotee Care Courses (DCC)
- Liaise with Temples/ Devotee Communities to arrange the running of the course
- Take care of all management of the courses as far as register, photos, video, certificates, etc
- May also teach the course
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as reasonably necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and overall business objectives as and when required.
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in an administrative, PA, or secretarial role (outside a temple setting)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Competent in basic office software and administrative systems
Other Requirements:
- Reliability
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Full availability to work on Sundays (mandatory)
- Remaining hours to be worked onsite at the temple
