Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland is more than just a charity; we are a lifeline for older people in our local communities. As part of our mission to support older people in their everyday lives, we provide a range of products, services and shops, including our eBay e-commerce site.
We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Retail Manager to join our organisation.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering sales results, which generate income that helps provide important and invaluable services to older local people.
You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the eBay operation, ensuring the service is efficient and effective, and reporting to the manager, ensuring volunteers, premises, and stock levels are managed. You will require knowledge and understanding of e-commerce, with the ability to sell items quickly and efficiently.
Ideally, previous experience of working within a charity-based setting; however, this is not essential.
Key Skills :
- Proven retail experience
- E-commerce and online marketplace experience
- Ability to achieve targets
- Volunteer recruitment, training, and support
- Ability to deliver customer service with clear written & verbal communication skills
- Stock management and inventory control
- Product listing creation and optimisation
- Order processing, packing, and dispatch
- Pricing and merchandising strategies
- Sales performance monitoring and reporting
- Knowledge of platforms such as eBay, Shopify, or other online retail systems
- Time management and organisational skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Cash handling and financial reconciliation
- Data entry and administrative accuracy, using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) ability to produce and present data
- Social media and digital marketing awareness
- Adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment
- Understanding of charity retail and Gift Aid procedures (where applicable)

Salary: £14,911.59 per annum, £12.71 per hour
