Due to continuing business success and growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for Home Care and Home Help staff to join our team. We have positions available across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.
We provide full training and support, previous experience is not necessary. We simply ask for people who are compassionate and who share our values of promoting independence, dignity and respect.

We rely on the generosity of donors, volunteers, and our loyal customers to help us fund our important work. Our charity shops play a vital role in raising the funds needed to support our mission
We’re seeking a Deputy Retail Manager to join our dynamic team and help manage our Loughborough Bookshop, with all proceeds directly funding vital community programs.
Role Overview:
As the Deputy Retail Manager, you will be an essential part of the management team, assisting the Retail Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the store. You will play a key role in driving the shop's performance, enhancing the customer experience, and ensuring that the store runs efficiently and profitably. You will also support a team of volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:Assist in managing all aspects of store operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and maintaining high store standards.
- Customer Experience:Ensure customers receive exceptional service by leading by example and implementing best practices in customer interaction.
- Sales & Performance:Assist in achieving and exceeding financial targets
- Health & Safety Compliance:Ensure that the store complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Inventory Control:Support inventory management, including stock replenishment, stock audits, and stocktaking.
- Problem Solving:Address and resolve operational issues or customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous retail management experience, ideally from a bookshop, or have a passion for literature.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a group of volunteers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to create a positive shopping experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and solve problems under pressure.
- Knowledge of retail operations, stock management, and health and safety standards.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude with a passion for retail and customer service.
