Are you an experienced care professional ready to take the next step in your leadership journey?

We're looking for a dedicated and passionate Deputy Care Manager based in Dover, Kent to join our team in this permanent, 37.5-hour per week role paying £31,122 per year (£15.96 p/h). You'll help lead an 8-bedroom service consisting of individual flats, delivering outstanding care to the people who need it most.

About the Role

As Deputy Care Manager, you'll work closely alongside the Registered Manager to ensure our care service runs smoothly and to the highest possible standard. You'll play a central role in the day-to-day life of the service; leading and inspiring the care team, championing residents' wellbeing, and making sure every person in our care feels seen, supported, and valued.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Registered Manager in the overall management and delivery of the care service
  • Leading, supervising, and developing the care team; including appraisals and training
  • Overseeing care planning to ensure residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are fully met
  • Monitoring compliance with health and social care regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Managing medication administration and maintaining accurate, up-to-date care records
  • Contributing to staff recruitment and ensuring the team is well-supported and equipped
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, and external agencies

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a care setting, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Adult Care (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a genuine commitment to staff development
  • Excellent organisational ability and confidence working in a fast-paced environment
  • A solid understanding of health and social care regulations and standards
