The Vacancy

Do you enjoy coming to work to make a difference? If so we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Delivery Surveyor (Planned Works) to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality improvements across our housing portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver planned maintenance and investment programmes that directly enhance the lives of our residents.

From upgrading kitchens and bathrooms to overseeing major component replacements, you’ll ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards—safely, efficiently, and with the customer experience at heart.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Delivery Surveyor, you’ll combine technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to drive successful programme delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

Surveying & Scoping

  • Carrying out property inspections to assess condition and identify improvement needs
  • Preparing detailed specifications and scopes of work aligned with technical and regulatory standards

Project Delivery & Quality Assurance

  • Monitoring works on-site to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to specifications
  • Conducting pre-, during-, and post-works inspections
  • Identifying defects and coordinating effective remedial actions

Collaboration & Contractor Management

  • Working closely with contractors, delivery teams, and internal colleagues
  • Supporting contractor performance and resolving technical challenges
  • Managing variations and ensuring accurate documentation

Customer-Focused Delivery

  • Engaging with residents to ensure clear communication and minimal disruption
  • Supporting resolution of enquiries, complaints, and technical queries
  • Delivering a positive experience throughout the lifecycle of works

You’ll be always thinking about continuous improvement, how we can identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, quality, and efficiency

About You

You’ll bring a blend of technical knowledge, practical experience, and a passion for delivering excellent outcomes.

Essential:

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Building Surveying, Construction, or a related field
  • Experience in property inspections and building condition assessments
  • Background in planned maintenance or capital investment programmes (e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, major works)
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, maintenance practices, and compliance standards
  • Proven experience monitoring site works and working with contractors
  • Ability to identify defects and manage remedial works

Desirable:

  • Working towards (or willingness to work towards) professional membership such as RICS

This is a hybrid role enabling you to base yourself from home. As you would imagine you will be out and about in our operating region, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is a must.

Our operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
