Join our Community Money Advice team and make a lasting difference to people experiencing financial hardship. This role offers the opportunity to provide practical debt support and work alongside a team committed to helping others achieve long-term financial resilience.

Could you help us to achieve our ambition of seeing people in our area free from debt, so that they can “live life to the full”?

With support from the National Lottery Community Fund and in partnership with Bournemouth Foodbank, we are expanding our financial resilience work across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. We are looking for an additional Debt Adviser to join our team in Poole.

NOTE: You do not need to be a trained Debt Adviser to apply but will need to undertake professional training which will be provided.

Key aspects of the role:

  • Provide professional debt advice and budgeting support to referred clients
  • Develop understanding of the wider needs of the individual, signposting and referring them to other support as needed

  • A passionate and empathetic individual with a desire to use their skills to help others in crisis
  • Professional integrity with brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to build a rapid rapport with people
