Strode Park Foundation is looking for a full-time Day Opportunities Supervisor to join our friendly and dedicated team at our Day Opportunities Centre in Herne. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference every day by supporting people to achieve their goals, take part in activities they enjoy, build confidence and feel included in their community.
Working hours are Monday to Friday: 09:00 - 17:00 with an hourly rate of £13.86.

About the role
As Day Opportunities Supervisor, you will help provide and guide person-centred care and support for the adults who attend our centre. You will play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and positive environment where each person is respected, encouraged and supported to reach their potential.
You will also support colleagues through day-to-day guidance, mentoring, induction support and effective communication, helping the team deliver high-quality care that reflects our values of Care, Inspire and Together.
What you’ll be doing
• Delivering and overseeing person-centred support in line with care plans, risk assessments and personal outcomes.
• Supporting adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities to take part in meaningful activities and social opportunities.
• Guiding, mentoring and supporting new and existing team members.
• Helping to keep records, care plans and daily notes accurate and up to date.
• Building positive relationships with service users, families, advocates, professionals and colleagues.
• Supporting safe practice, including health and safety, infection control, moving and handling and fire safety.
• Helping with staff rostering and the smooth day-to-day running of the centre.

Essential Skills
About you
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and flexible, with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting disabled adults. You may already have experience in care, support work or a supervisory role, or you may be ready to take the next step in your career.
You will need direct or indirect experience of disability or supporting disabled people, basic computer skills, and either a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards one. Most importantly, you will share our commitment to providing respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity, choice and independence.
