Make a real difference in your community.

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented and passionate about using data to support life-changing services?

We help people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We're looking for a Data Training and Support Officer to join our Gambling Prevention Team, playing a vital role in ensuring our data, reporting and referral processes are accurate, efficient and compliant.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality services by maintaining robust data systems, producing meaningful reports and helping colleagues make informed decisions that improve outcomes for people affected by gambling-related harm.

About the Role

As a Data Training and Support Officer, you will support the day-to-day management of our client information systems, ensuring data is entered accurately, referrals are processed efficiently and performance information is available to support service delivery.

Working closely with managers and practitioners, you'll produce reports, monitor data quality, provide guidance and training on system use and help ensure the service meets contractual, governance and information management requirements. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth running of the Gambling Prevention Service and the quality of support we provide.

What You’ll Do

  • Process referrals and maintain accurate, up-to-date client records using electronic case management systems.

  • Produce, analyse and distribute performance reports to support service monitoring and continuous improvement.

  • Support colleagues with data entry, system queries and basic training, promoting high standards of data quality and accuracy.

  • Help ensure compliance with data protection, information governance and confidentiality requirements across the service.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, commissioners and partner organisations to support the effective administration and delivery of the Gambling Prevention Service.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

  • Experience working in a data administration or business support role, with confidence managing electronic databases and producing reports.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and experience using case management or data recording systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

  • A good understanding of data protection, confidentiality and information governance, with a professional and discreet approach.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and provide outstanding support to colleagues and service users.
