The Vacancy

If you're passionate about delivering excellent customer service and enjoy finding practical solutions, we'd love to hear from you. As a Customer Accounts Advisor within our Hampshire team, you'll help customers manage their accounts by providing guidance, resolving queries and helping them access the right support.

This is a part-time role working 14.5 hours per week across Monday (8.30am to 2.00pm), Wednesday (12.30pm to 5.00pm) and Friday (8.30am to 1.00pm). There is some flexibility around the Monday and Friday working hours, so if you require a slightly different working pattern, we'd be happy to discuss this with you.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside our Customer Accounts Officers, you'll support the day to day management of customer accounts by handling low level rent arrears, garage and recharge debts, customer refunds and housing benefit overpayments. You'll also work with local authorities to update housing benefit entitlements and process any overpayments.

You'll communicate with customers by phone, email, letter, text and in person, taking the time to understand their circumstances, answer account queries and signpost them to additional support where needed. You'll also ensure customer information is kept accurate and up to date on our systems.

About you

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and is committed to delivering excellent customer service. You'll build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues and external agencies.

You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and be confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems. You'll enjoy working as part of a team, while also managing your own workload effectively.

You'll need a flexible approach to meet the needs of our customers, including local and regional travel. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes are essential.
