Crisis Service Team Lead: Crisis Support Drop-In Service

“Caring, calming, compassionate” – Are they words people often use to describe you?

Are you looking for a rewarding new role where you can truly make a BIG difference in your local community?

Could you lead the delivery of a compassionate person-centered support service for people with urgent emotional wellbeing needs, and provide them a non-clinical community-based alternative to A&E?

You will be joining an amazing team delivering this service!

We are looking to recruit supportive and caring individuals with a passion for helping people in need, to deliver non-clinical mental health and wellbeing support at Derbyshire Mind’s Crisis Support Drop-In Service (CSDI) across our three sites; Buxton, Ripley & Swadlincote.

Derbyshire Mind’s Crisis Support Drop-In Services are a supportive, non-clinical mental health crisis service, delivered as an alternative to statutory services, for adults who self-define as needing immediate help with their mental health or emotional wellbeing. Located in Buxton, Ripley and Swadlincote, the services offer out-of-hours mental health help, support and signposting in a relaxed and comfortable community environment. The services are open on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, all year round.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and resilient person to join our friendly supportive team and to help deliver this vital service to and for local people. This will include providing support to people who may be experiencing, or may otherwise experience, a mental health crisis. This includes offering a listening ear along with structured support to develop a wellbeing plan and signposting advice.
