Amber Valley CVS – recruiting to the Community Development Team

Couch to 5X Engagement Officer (Move More Amber Valley)

The Couch to 5X Engagement Officer will play a key role in delivering the Move More Amber Valley Strategy by supporting people to build movement into their daily lives in ways that work for them. This role focuses on engaging individuals and communities, particularly those experiencing the greatest inequalities, to increase confidence, improve wellbeing, and connect with opportunities for movement.

Through the delivery of the Couch to 5X programme and wider Move More initiatives, the postholder will empower people to set and achieve personal movement goals, build relationships with community partners, and help create environments where moving more becomes a normal part of everyday life.

You will need to be well organised, have good administrative skills and be able to maintain records and statistics to monitor the project. Skills with social media will be an advantage. Ability to liaise and work with other agencies and partners to identify needs of individuals is essential.

You will also need to have achieved Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral qualification.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping people improve their health, confidence and wellbeing through movement, while contributing to a wider system-wide ambition to make Amber Valley a place where everyone can move more every day.
