We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Communications Manager to join our Communications Department in Worcester. For this role you will be responsible for shaping how we present ourselves to colleagues, customers, stakeholders and the wider public. You will lead the delivery of high-quality corporate communications that protect and enhance our reputation, support business priorities and influence key audiences.
You will work closely with senior leaders across the Group, providing expert advice and ensuring our communications are clear, timely and aligned to our strategic objectives.
The job sits within the Communications department which manages brand strategy, digital, customer, internal, corporate and strategic communications. It produces a wide range of high-quality publications and materials to promote the Group to its key stakeholders.
The role of Corporate Communications Manager will include:
- Leading the planning, delivery and evaluation of corporate communications campaigns that strengthen Sanctuary’s reputation and support strategic objectives
- Providing communications advice to senior leaders on communications approaches that influence internal and external audiences
- Supporting the delivery of key corporate announcements and publications
- Monitoring media coverage and the wider news agenda, identifying risks, issues and proactive opportunities
- Playing an active role in crisis communications, including participation in an out-of-hours rota
- Using insight and evaluation to continuously improve communications activity and demonstrate impact
- Influencing stakeholders across the organisation to ensure communications are strategic, consistent and effective
Skills and experiences:
- Degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience in communications, PR or a related field
- Proven experience in corporate communications within a large, complex organisation
- Strong experience of financial and corporate communications, ideally within a regulated sector
- Experience of the housing, housebuilding or development sector is desirable
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels
- Understanding of stakeholder engagement and public affairs would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of media relations, reputation management and the regulatory environment, including data protection and related legislation
- Proven experience of managing multiple priorities, delivering to deadlines and leading teams
- Experience of evaluating communications activity and using insight to drive improvement
